PROMESH316 window security screens are constructed using 0.9mm 316 high-tensile marine grade stainless steel mesh which is 12.5% thicker than many other security mesh brands currently used in the industry. Our unique Retaining Hook System provides exceptional strength compared to standard manufacturing processes. PROMESH316 window security screens are harder to cut or penetrate and are designed to not only keep the flies or mosquitoes out but also the burglars as well. PROMESH316 Window Security Screen Retaining Hook System (RHS)
PROMESH316 window security screens are constructed using our unique Retaining Hook System. Manufacture involves a 60 tonne hydraulic press forming a fold back portion along all sides of the mesh. The mesh grips within the recess of its frame, is locked under tension and cannot be removed. Without the use of screws or rivets, this also gives a very neat and well finished appearance.
All our window security screens are proudly designed and manufactured in Perth, Western Australia exclusively by Bonds Security Products.
What Do PROMESH316 Window Security Screens Offer That Fly Doors Do Not?
Australian Standards forbid manufacturers and suppliers from labelling their products as security products unless they adhere to strict testing protocols. Therefore, window security screens must be rigorously tested and proven to withstand common break-in scenarios. These requirements are outlined in Australian Standards 5039
(manufacturing), 5040
(installation) and 5041
(testing methods). Such screens have undergone:
- Impact testing where a simulated intruder attempts at bashing the door
- Leverage testing attempts to open the door from its mountings
- Cutting and shearing tests on the door-mesh

Q. What colours are available for a PROMESH316 window security screen?
A. We have seven Standard Powder Coated Colours and two Standard Anodised Colours in our Standard range. We can also manufacture in any other Special Powder Coated colour at an additional cost. The most common colours are listed here, however other colours are available. We also have Wood Look window security screens. Please call to confirm we have your required colour.
Q. Can a pet door be added to a PROMESH316 window security screen?
A. Yes, we have three sizes available, however please note that adding a pet door to your PROMESH316 window security screen will reduce it's security. It will no longer be classified as a security screen. Please discuss your requirements with our sales consultant.
